Field Sessions are an opportunity to go out into the field to shoot with a small group of people with one of the instructors as your guide. These groups are limited to 10-15 people depending upon the destination (carpooling is a must for these trips and parking is limited in most places). Each participant is permitted to sign up for 2 guided field sessions. Sign ups for field sessions won't take place until September, so don't worry about it until then. You haven't missed something, we promise! Field Sessions are the ONLY sessions that you need to sign up for other than Image Critiques. There is no additional fee for Field Sessions, they are included as part of the Summit. Typically, you will sign up for field sessions by location and not instructor. Please note that we may adjust this process before September this year, but we will let you know if that happens!
Please note that the instructor is a guide for these sessions and will not actually be teaching class in the field. The instructors are there to point participants in the right direction and answer one-on-one questions as they occur. We encourage everyone to venture out on their own to shoot on days they are not part of a guided field session. We will be happy to give you pointers on places to go (Our Camera Camp Counselors and Instructors are particularly good at this)! You can also easily find other people who will be willing to go with you!
