If you are traveling to the Summit Spin Off via flight, the closest airport to the event is Asheville Regional airport in Asheville, NC.  The Asheville Regional Airport is approximately a 40 minute drive from Lake Junaluska.  Much like the Knoxville airport, the one in Asheville is small, so, if you don't find what you are looking for you might try looking at the Charlotte airport as it is approximately 115 miles from Lake Junaluska.

 

The Great Smoky Mountains Photography Summit Spin Off, Wildlife & Waterfalls will be held at the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center in Western North Carolina, just outside of Waynesville.  Our lodging and meeting room is located in the same building (provided you choose the Lambuth Inn for your lodging, which is where our room block will be) on a beautiful property.  If anyone is traveling by RV, Lake Junaluska also has a campground adjacent to the property.  However, the reservation system for the campground is separate from that of the hotels, so you would need to contact them through that system to make reservations. Attendees of the workshop will receive a discounted room rate as we will have a room block.  The rooms will start at $149 per night (plus tax) and you will be able to reserve them online with a code.  Once I have the code and reservation information, I will post that here as well as sending an email to everyone who is already registered.  Please be sure to read their cancellation policy when making reservations.
